The quick answer: 2026 bands by machine class
| Class | 2026 band | What it is | Right for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semi-automatic single machines | ±USD 1,000–10,000 each | Filler, capper or labeller as separate benches; an operator moves bottles between them | Startups proving a product; low volumes; frequent product changes |
| Automatic monoblock | USD 13,000–60,000 | Fill-cap(-label) integrated in one frame; conveyor in, finished bottle out | Consistent single-product runs; the step where labour stops scaling with volume |
| Complete bottling line | From USD 150,000 | Rinse-fill-cap block, treatment, labelling, packing engineered as one flow | Retail-grade water or beverages at 2,000+ bph — the line guide |
What moves a filler's price inside the band
- The product itself — free-flowing water fills cheap; viscous gels, oils, foamers and particulates need pistons, pumps and anti-foam design that carry real money.
- Filling technology — gravity and overflow fillers sit at the affordable end; piston, pump and weigh-fillers climb with accuracy demands.
- Heads and speed — a 2-head semi-auto and a 12-head automatic are different machines with the same name.
- Contact materials and washdown — food and pharma-grade stainless, CIP provisions and documentation add cost that the audit later justifies.
- The unglamorous rest — conveyors, bottle handling, cap feeders, coding and the compressed air to run it all. Monoblock quotes that skip these aren't cheaper; they're incomplete.
The trap to avoid: buying an automatic filler for a manual everything-else. If bottles are rinsed by hand, capped inconsistently and labelled crooked, the filler's precision is wasted in both directions. Match the automation level across the whole flow — that's the real meaning of the jump from machines to a line.
When the answer is a line, not a machine
Three signs you've outgrown the machine conversation: a retailer or distributor demands consistency your hand-steps can't hold; labour cost per unit stops falling as volume rises; or hygiene compliance starts dictating enclosed, washdown-rated flow. At that point the budget question changes from "what does a filling machine cost?" to "what does a commissioned line cost?" — and that arithmetic, with treatment, utilities and packaging economics, is in the bottling plant guide and the landed cost estimator.
What you're buying from CISH
We don't retail bench-top fillers — the local dealer market serves that well, and we'll say so. Our work starts where integration starts: monoblocks specified for your product and bottle, and complete lines delivered as working capacity — OEM audit, FAT with your bottle and caps, shipping, installation and commissioning, training, documented handover.
